CONNECTING NEIGHBORS

Community is central to Momo’s Market. We seek to create a neighborhood specific space to connect with neighbors. Yes, we do sell things and solve problems. We also provide a space to run into neighbors, meet new friends and make lasting connections. We do this daily in the market. We also host events to bring everyone together for no cost events.

ANNUAL EVENTS

Momo’s Market hosts three annual events to bring our community together.

Valentine’s Card Making Party: Traditionally, we have a party mid-day the Saturday or Sunday prior to Valentine’s Day. We believe this to be the only free V-Day card making party at a corner store in the history of the world. We offer free refill coffee during the event and usually have the arts & crafts table open from the party through Valentine’s Day. Love is love is love is love is love.

Block Party: Every September, we gather together to celebrate the neighborhood and changing of seasons. Originally, we threw this party in our back parking lot but since 2021, we’ve been celebrating in Pomeroy Park just around the corner. It is a free party with music (local legends Barbacoa) plus food and beer from our buddies at Foam Brewers at the waterfront.

Turkey Trot Trot: On Thanksgiving morning, we host an unsupported 5k around the Old North End. The run / walk starts and ends at Momo’s Market. All participants bring pie to share and Momo’s provides coffee. We gather for community before our family and friend Thanksgiving celebrations.
